Smith Park Chicago host the Halloween Spooky Skating Party.

Many children enjoyed the music, skating, and spooky sounds while the Smith Park gym turned into a Roller Rink, special thanks to the Chicago Park District.

Smith Park Halloween Spooky Skating Party on Friday, October 28, 2016

The Smith Park Advisory Council in conjunction with the Chicago Park District host several events throughout the year.  One of our favorite events is the Halloween Spooky Skating Party.

Thanks to Mr. Travis Bogle, Smith Park Supervisor, and his team who puts on a spooktacular evening of games and fun for the entire community surrounding Smith Park.

Smith Park Advisory Council donates 3 prizes for the best Halloween Costume Contest for ages 1-4, 4-8, and 8-14.

Although we are still waiting for the names of the Halloween Spooky Skating Winners, one of the winners stands out to SPAC and that is little Noah Vega.

Noah Vega was last years winner for age group 1-4.  Mrs. Vega, Noah’s mom, dressed her son as Clark Kent from the movie Superman.  We are searching for last years photo of little Vega, but he won again this year as the Marsh Mellow Man from the hit movie Ghost Busters.

We would like to thank all the parents and children who participated in this years Halloween Spooky Skating Party, and SPAC would also like to thank the Smith Park Teen Club run by Mr. Steve Zaffaroni, a long time member of the community.

We are always looking for volunteers to help support our events throughout the year, and SPAC will also give Community Service hours for any High School Students who volunteers at the park, (bring forms with you).  If you are interested in helping or supporting Smith Park, please contact president David Ramos. Thank you for supporting our park and our community, we look forward to seeing you next year.
