Smith Park Advisory Council West Town Dog Parade, to show case our Chicago Park District in the Central Region, the Smith Park Advisory Council, (SPAC) along with 1st Alderman Joe Moreno, 2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins, 26th Ward Roberto Maldonado, and 27th Ward Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., the West Town Chamber of Commerce, PAWS, Anti Cruelty will hold the 1st Annual Smith Park West Town Dog Parade on Saturday, July 29, 2017.

Our Grand Marshall’s for the parade will be City Clerk Anna Valencia.  The parade line up will be at 9 a.m. at Commercial Park, located at 1800 West Rice Street and the parade will start at 10 a.m.

In order to participate in this event every dog owner must complete a “Mandatory” registration form.  Click on the link above, fill out the registration form, and email it to:

The registration form will be sent to the City Clerk’s office to verify the mandatory City Dog License and Vaccination number.  When we receive the forms back, we will provide you with a parade number.

The parade will travel down Chicago Ave at Wolcott and head west to Campbell Street to Smith Park were we will have acknowledgements and vendors at Smith Park from the City Clerk’s office, FIDO Dog Treats, American Glory Food Truck and much more.  Special thanks to Christy Webber – Christy Webber Flowers & Gardens, Christy will have her crew spray down Chicago Ave. with water to protect our pets paws for the parade.

Please remember, according to the City of Chicago Municipal Code all dogs in the City of Chicago must have a City Dog Tag License.  If you need a City of Chicago Dog License, please click on the link below for the application or additional information on the City Dog License.
